The water sounds are played by seven loudspeakers integrated in one plastic ball each. Their spatial integration into the overall structure imitates the sound behaviour of falling water drops. The compositional overlay of several channels create a drop symphony that lives from compression and pauses in sound. A massive drone emmits from the eighth channel as an increasing and decreasing sound.
The spatial design of the work leads the receptive gaze of visitors across the large structure to the upper edge of the form. The space’s atmosphere is dominated by the large scale of the object, the constant change of bluish colour on its white plastic balls, the water sounds and the reoccuring bass rumble.
