Spatial Arrangement

spatial sound-composition

commissioned work for Experimance Festival 2021, Automat Art Space, Saarbruecken, Germany

interactive sonic intervention for gallery space, 5 sound objects, 2 speaker, 3 sound transducer, digital circuit, 2 ceramic tiles, wool, rubber, wood, pvc, styrofoam, cable

The spatial sound-composition defines the architectural space of the gallery room at Automat Art Space. Auditory, visual, kinetic, tactile, and self-acting modes of the audience’s embodied perception are adressed by interweaving the three-dimensional sound arrangement, used materials, and the included interactive, participatory strategies. Playfully, the sensual character of the work stages a modernist aesthetic atmosphere that, at second glance, reveal idiosyncratic observations at the intersection of sculpture, sound art and new media.
