submarine visual intervention for 2 balloon objects on ship line, rubber balloons, LEDs

The Arctic Ocean is home to a multitude of marine creatures whose formal design inspires my artistic reflection. The subaquatic light objects were made of nontoxic, natural rubber. Their shimmering glow drew attention to the aesthetics of the submarine cosmos. The formal layout of the objects were reminiscent of tunicata-colonies  on ship line. Within a short time, the structures became inhabited by fish and integrated into the harbor’s subaquatic biosphere. Thus, the work reflected to the long-term superiority of nature over man-made structures, which can only ever be temporary.
