International Festival for Contemporary Sound Art 2014, TuFa, Trier, Germany

spatial sound composition for eight discrete channels, 6000 plastic balls and 2-channel projection mapping

The structure was arranged semi-cylindrically, suspended on nylon strings, covered by iridescent blue light deriving from a two-channel video mapping. A permanent interplay of colour visually corresponded to sounds of water which seemed to drip top to bottom within the assemblage. The compositional overlay of several channels created a drop symphony build by overlay and pauses in sound. The space’s atmosphere was defined by the interplay of scale, movement, and sonic pattern, leading the receptive gaze across its spatial design.
