The large-scale installation Kontaktzonenis a site specific multilayered structure of handmade cardboard, self-produced bioplastic, and hybrid fragments. The organic materials are arranged into a network of plant-like structures and stone-slab-like plates within the historic wall paintings of the exhibition walls. In places, the organic formations break out of the rhythm of the coffered panels. Clear boundaries dissolve; fragility emerges in structure and material as a permanent condition,
while permanence takes shape as a narrative of human longing.
